Creating a website may seem like a simple process. After tackling all the necessary steps to launch your website, from choosing the right hosting to SEO optimization, and finally going live, you might visit tools to assess the quality and speed of your website, such as Gtmetrix or Google Insights, and find that your website is loading very slowly. One of the possible reasons for this could be poor image optimization. Let's take a look at a few tools that will help you optimize your images and help you achieve "green scores."

Tinypng

Tinypng is one of my favorite image optimization tools. Not only have I been using it for a long time, but it also offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio. What's more, in most cases, you can get by with their free plan.

The tool allows you to optimize up to 20 images at once, completely free of charge. If you want more advanced features, you can also integrate it with their API or use the CDN option.

Squoosh.app

Similar to Tinypng, Squoosh offers image optimization but in this case, it's entirely free.

Simply upload your image to their online tool, set the optimization quality, and choose from advanced settings like color profiles and rendering. Then, let the tool do what it does best - optimize.

Jpegmini

This tool not only offers traditional image optimization but also advanced video size optimization, which can be useful for any web project.

Additionally, it offers plugins directly for tools like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, which graphic designers, in particular, may appreciate.

TinyImage Compressor for Figma

If you're a Figma expert, you'll definitely appreciate the ability to generate optimized images directly from this tool. You can optimize not only JPEG and PNG images but also PDFs and GIFs. Easily and directly from Figma.

This is my list of tools that will help you achieve a faster website. And if you ever need assistance with web design on Webflow, don't hesitate to contact me, and I'll be happy to help as a Webflow Expert.
